I did the requisite TJs run at 0815, then zipped out to Wilder to do some hiking. But, my sandals and I decided that slopping through the goopy-glop was not a most fyne idea after all the recent rains. And you know what? I don’t even care. Wielding my State Parks annual pass I can come and go in an unlimited fashion, to almost all the parks in Cali. So cool! I drive right in, and the friendly ranger smiles and says thanks and if I don’t get my ride or hike in that day I just give it a shot on the ‘morrow.

Yes! Fantastic!

I have nothing more to say, other than that an old SCO colleague saw me downtown the other day and said I looked “exactly the same” as the last time she saw me, which was >20 years ago. Haven’t aged a bit, she said.

Too funny.

But then, she doesn’t know about the craggy and ragged portrait I have stored up in the attic….
