JoWah farm visit: trip report

Man, life is never dull. I had a spare few minutes before court this morning, and nosy Deeds did the deedful and snooped around all the hallways and doorways and nooks and crannies. What did I find?

JoWah farming!

JoWah adults holding a tribal council meeting.

I had to be quick with that first photo, as the council meeting abruptly stopped and they all stared when I stooped down for a photo. Not sure if you’ve ever been confronted by a sea of Wah giving you “the look,” but I can tell you, friends, that it sent a chill down my spine. There was no pincer clacking, however, so I felt safe enough to move along and pretend I saw nothing.

But then! The JWah nursery! The little ones are soooo cute. What a glorious find!

Never seen before on Earth: a JoWah nursery. So adorable!

Look at those cute little things (on the left). So busy now! Each one is useful in its own way. The smallest was only perhaps 1″ wide, but I didn’t dare approach closer … the mamas were giving me a suspicious side-petal look and I didn’t want to press my luck.

Finally, it looks like mayhap some of the younglings were feeling spritely and wanted to sneak out and play. Check out these smart little guys, waiting until the huge guard in the background was looking the other way before they made their leap:

When the Wah guard looks away, the children will play….

Alas, I had to cut my visit short as there were sirens in the distance. It seems even the police have been MC’d into believing this farm is a leap forward in the evolution of “humanity.”

I’ll be back down there in October, so I’ll take another look and report back.

Until then, may all your interstellar travels be safe, and with plenty of good food and good music to accompany you on your long journey.

Safe travels!
